Happy Hour Thursday!
makes a single serving
1 1/2 ounces tequila (silver or gold, based on your preference)
1 ounce grand mariner
1 1/2 ounces simple syrup
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 1/2 ounces blood orange juice (about 1-2 oranges)
salt for the rim, lime/orange wedges for garnish
Rim the ridge of your glass with a lime wedge and dip in margarita salt. I actually combined the salt with some blood orange sugar, but that’s up to you. Fill the glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, grand marnier, simple syrup, blood orange and lime juice with ice, and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour over ice and squeeze in lemon and orange slices.

Newly Obsessed
Yoon Jung Yun
Imagine that your lover giving you a ring that on the surface seems plain, but later when you take the ring off; it says, “Marry me.” Or imagine that even though you take off the ring to clean your hands you are still wearing an impression of the words, ’always’. LOVE!

FASHION CHALLENGE:: JENNA LYONS VS. MIROSLAVA DUMA
Contestant Number 1, Jenna Lyons, paired her Derek Lam jacket with a fur scarf, boyfriend jeans, and a neon Proenza Schouler PS11 bag worn as a clutch. Yes, it is a shoulder strap, but Jenna prefers to squeeze it between her arm and torso as if it were a large strapless envelope clutch and I am dying to hold my bag in this very way, perhaps tomorrow.
Then we have contestant number two Miroslava Duma, who went with leather shorts, an actual Prada clutch, and who could forget her mis-matched Burberry platform shoes.
I would rock either!

Prague
Here, with a pop of inspiration from one of Prague’s finest views. When I first spotted this photo of the stunning Charles Bridge, I fell in love with the way the glowing lights bring life to the entire night’s sky. I can’t imagine a more glamorous way of spending an evening in Prague than toasting and dancing the night away in one of these show-stoppers (the purple one with black tights? done.) If you ask me, nothing says confidence quite like donning a fierce color, so you can consider this style officially added to my ‘to buy’ list!

I am already missing all the places and people I met on my fabulous vacation... Life is too short not to do the things you love. In the words of my wonderful Singaporean taxi driver, "Love is Blind"

Kora Designs
KORA merges the worlds of fashion and sustainable business development to the unique and mutual benefit of both. Our pieces feature locally-sourced recycled materials and are made by local artisans in African developing communities. We draw design inspiration from the elemental properties of each material, ancient ceremonial jewelry and our frequent, wanderlust-driven travels as we seek out new and unique materials.
KORA launched in 2009 with horn cuffs made in Rwanda and has since expanded to include a variety of beautiful, locally-sourced material from Kenya and Ghana. KORA practices the idea of 'trade not aid' in order to directly provide the foundation for sustainable economic growth in these countries. The long-term sustainability of our producers is important to KORA. By paying fair prices for product we provide the artisans with the crucial capital to build their businesses. We highly value craftsmanship, technical innovation and high quality materials - our dedication to these qualities is reflected in each piece.

Arak attack; a cocktail of Bali spirit made from palm trees!
Making Arak Madu... Experiment. Start with several shots of arak, squeeze half a lime into it, then mix in a teaspoon of honey. Mix it well. Taste it. Add more lime or honey to get the balance you like.
Tourists visiting Bali always find the island intoxicating, especially for those who try the locally brewed traditional alcohol, arak. Arak, Bali’s pride and joy of spirits, is a colorless and sugarless beverage, distilled from palm sap or rice, with a 20 to 50 percent alcohol content. With its high alcoholic content, arak drinkers do not need long to begin feeling its effects kick in.

Newly Obsessed!
I will be living in this collection all summer...
Suspension Rip Stop Romper ($355)
Though this laid back one-piece acts as the perfect beach topper, its sunny yellow hue and bold geometric motif make it a chic option off the boardwalk too.
Georgette Wide Legged Jumpsuit ($550)
Both a high neckline and blouson waistline inject this glamorous black jumpsuit with fashion-forward appeal. Accompanied by jewelry and heels, it's even dressy enough for formal occasions in place of a LBD.
Georgette Button Down Blouse ($255) & Digital Stripe Tie-Dye Boarder Skirt ($300)
For a go-anywhere ensemble, pair a breezy sleeveless button-down with a striped maxi. Intriguing details, like the top's practical pockets and the skirt's dip-dye hem, take these pieces from stylishly simple to simply sublime.
Diagonal Striped Sweater Dress ($385)
This skintight sweater dress offers a cool alternative to your standard cocktail number. Contrasting thick and thin stripes work to flatter your shape, while a striking black-and-neon color combo makes a lasting impression.
