Get The Look
No.6
Jasper Tank Dress ($415, 212.226.5759) in Black/Cream Multi Stripe
Every summer wardrobe should be equipped with at least one maxi dress, which is why we'd like to direct you to this truly stunning version by No.6. The ankle-grazing frock is swathed in indigenous/tribal stripes and cinches around the waist for a figure-flattering look. Style it with flat metallic sandals and a wide-brimmed hat for the day, then come evening, swap in a pair of chic wedges and colorful jewelry.

Mara Hoffman Embroidered Bustier Top ($207)
Mara Hoffman's spring collection is filled with amazing tribal-inspired prints like the one featured on this must-have bustier top. Not only is this piece in perfect keeping with the theme of today's story, but its vibrant pattern also offers the sultry top a playful twist. If you're not afraid to show off some skin, we suggest styling it with a high-waisted pencil skirt in blue or red, or you can always wear it with the designer's matching hot pants for a truly high-impact look.

Fallon Gold & Emerald Ines Mesh Necklace ($225)
Our next pick, a beautiful mesh necklace by Fallon, is obviously inspired by the ornate and lustrous gold jewelry worn by the Zamunda royal women. Embellished with Swarovski crystals, this regal piece will instantly elevate any ensemble. While it's sure to upgrade a fancier after-hours look, we also like the idea of using it to dress up a casual t-shirt and jeans combo-the outcome will be unexpectedly chic!

Hare+Hart Zero Waste Bangles ($40-55 each)
For a subtle way of trying today's look, consider Hare+Hart's colorful bangles! Every piece is made from recycled materials and hand painted in Argentina, so each one is unique. While versatile on their own, we think you should do as the Zamunda royal family does, and stack a handful of bracelets on your wrist for a statement-making color-block look.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Nail Lacquer ($19) in Pure Red
We could have selected any bright polish for today's story, but something about Estee Lauder's new-for-spring Pure Red felt like a perfect fit. Indeed, red is associated with power, happiness, and success-themes present throughout the film-but this classic shade will also look brilliant with a range of neutral and bright looks too, so it's a lacquer you can wear well through summer and into fall.

Kenny Sanders Pants ($198) in Lucky Cream
If a printed dress or top isn't your cup of tea, then you must consider these cool trousers by Kenny. The micro-sized pattern is perfectly on-trend for spring, while the relaxed, wide-leg cut guarantees a comfortable fit all day. Just be sure to keep them the focal point of your look by pairing them with a fuss-free, solid-colored top.

H&M Sandals ($18)
You can't very well head out on safari, or to the beach for that matter, in sky-high heels, which is why having a pair of flat sandals on hand for the warm weather months is key. Happily, you don't have to spend a fortune to snatch up a great style! Case in point: this sleek crisscross pair from H&M. Available in a versatile saddle brown hue, these sandals are perfect for grounding all your spring and summer looks, from a silky maxi dress to a tailored shorts and blouse combo.

Nanette Lepore Squeeze Me Skirt ($198) in Pond Multi
While we don't condone wearing actual animal skins like the Zamunda royal family, there is a cruelty-free way to get the look: Nanette Lepore's Squeeze Me Skirt. Pencil skirts are a lot like t-shirts-you can never really have enough styles-and this one is particularly desirable. The chic snake print offers the sophisticated silhouette a luxurious look, while the bright turquoise color keeps it feeling fresh and on-trend too!

Eddera Aurelie Elephant Clutch ($275) in Red
If you're looking for the perfect way to complete your Coming To America ensemble, this striking clutch by Eddera is just the piece you need. Featuring bold red suede fabric and a gold-plated elephant ornament, this clutch exudes plenty of elegance and style. Plus, it comes with a removable chain strap, so it can function as a petite day bag too.

Happy Monday!

I've realized some things about myself; I'm fickle. I kinda change my mind (some times a lot). And I get bored easily.  This week I'll be re-evaluating my life, what I want to do, where I want to be, with whom and why. There is always room for even more happiness <3

Coachella Love!

Jamie Chung
We adore Jamie Chung's dressy-meets-casual ensemble at A|X Armani Exchange and T-Mobile's Neon Carnival. Though the actress' statement necklace and slightly shimmery Armani Exchange Pleated Maxi Skirt ($69) exude glamorous flair, Chung dresses the look down by expertly layering an army jacket over a denim button-down and sheer tank. The result is a visually intriguing getup that's both cozy and completely on-trend for a summer music fest!

Lea Michele and Lauren Conrad
Both Lea Michele and Lauren Conrad soaked up the sun at the LACOSTE L!VE soiree. Michele's poolside attire consisted of the label's Oxford Shirt Dress ($190) over a Red Crossback Bikini ($110), as well as Gaimo wedge heels. Conrad, on the other hand, opted for a breezy top paired with Kenny Guadalajara's High Waisted Baja Stripe Shorts ($138) in Striped Yellow. She accented her summer-ready look with Juicy Couture's Straw Boater Hat ($58) in Natural, round sunnies, and flat sandals.

Arizona Muse
We loved the down-to-earth feel of Arizona Muse's simple Coachella getup at Mulberry's BBQ at the Parker Palm Springs. In a plain black t-shirt, jeans, and boots, the model looked comfortable and ready to take on a jam-packed day of performances. A straw hat and Mulberry's Del Rey bag in Deer Brown ($1250) (in addition to armfuls of bracelets and wristbands!) complete Muse's ready-to-rock ensemble.

Kate Bosworth
As a Coachella veteran, Kate Bosworth knows exactly how to pull off stylish comfort for the fabulous (but rather exhausting) weekend! On Day One at the Mulberry Firepit Party, she selected the brand's Panel Dress in Multicolour Ditzy Daisy Crushed Cotton, high-top Mulberry Sneakers in Black Studded Leather, and the Mini Lily Bag with Tassels in Ink Blue Heavy Suede (all from the F/W 12 collection), an outfit ideal for traversing the vast festival grounds. Bosworth also smartly shrugged on a versatile cropped black jacket to combat the wind chill at night!

Whitney Port
Whitney Port's neon-infused ensemble transitioned seamlessly from day to night when the reality star/designer arrived at the Neon Carnival on Day Two. A vivid Rebecca Minkoff topper layered over a lime green Splendid sweater offers an eye-catching color combo, while a Whitney Eve mini skirt maintains Port's cool summer vibe. She accented her look with a bright Rebecca Minkoff bag and low-heeled Ash Jalouse Suede Booties ($235) in Camel, perfect for dancing the night away in the California desert!

Emma Watson
Rompers are always a safe bet for warm weather, as Emma Watson demonstrated at Mulberry's BBQ bash. The actress was appropriately attired in the label's tiger-print playsuit from the F/W 12 collection, cropped black cardigan, and Mulberry's cross-body Mini Lily Bag with Tassels (also from the F/W 12 collection). Watson's excellent choice of accessories, such as a floppy felt hat, gold belt, and Joie Strippy Flat Sandals ($255), lent her overall look a downtown cool vibe.

Lily Collins
Always the sophisticate, Lily Collins channeled her signature elegance at Mulberry's BBQ. The actress donned the label's Belted Neely Dress ($865) in Blue Stripy Straw Silk and Stitched Bow Ballerina Flats ($415) in Summer Khaki for a look that's ultra feminine, yet still laid-back enough for a pool party! A studded ink blue Lily Bag with Tassels bestowed just the right amount of tough-girl edge to her outfit.

Dree Hemingway
Dree Hemingway is clearly hip to the bare midriff trend in Dolce & Gabbana's Cotton Chili Pepper Print Top ($995, 877.70.DGUSA) and matching Skirt ($1095, 877.70.DGUSA). At the Burton Snowboards pool party at the Ace Hotel, the blonde bombshell also showed off her affinity for clashing patterns by teaming the quirky chili pepper-print separates with Dolce & Gabbana's colorful floral purse. A pair of on-trend Isabel Marant wedges offers the perfect finishing touch to Hemingway's fun outfit!

Diane Kruger
Leave it to Diane Kruger to assemble a totally chic yet relaxed ensemble at the LACOSTE L!VE pool party. The actress kept cool in the brand's Fashion Show Short Sleeve Color Block Polo Dress ($300), but tempered the frock's sporty vibe with a brown cross-body bag and worn-in booties.

Happy Monday!

Pinned Image

I have learned to listen to my heart. I have learned that if you never make room for better things and better ways to be, if you never clear out the things in your life that stand in the way of your happiness, then you are not aligning your universe to allow for amazing things. In this life, you don’t find yourself. You create yourself. And the same goes for love: you don’t find love, you create a road for love to travel and wait for it to come.

Pitcher of Mojitos ~ Raspberry Mojito

Ingredients

  • 1 cup simple syrup ( 3/4 cup sugar + 3/4 cup water, heated to dissolve)
  • 1/2 cup torn basil leaves
  • 1 cup FRESH key lime juice (use regular limes for slightly less acidity)
  • 2 cups white rum
  • 1/4 cups Chambord (raspberry liquor)
  • 1 liter club soda
  • ice
  • fresh raspberries and lime slices to garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour the cooled simple syrup in a large pitcher and add the torn basil leaves. Use a large spoon/ladle to muddle the basil leaves so they release their flavor–beat them up pretty well.
  2. Add the lime juice, rum and Chambord. Stir.
  3. Add the club soda, stir, and top with ice if the pitcher allows.
  4. To serve: Garnish each glass with fresh berries and lime slices. Serve over ice or chilled without ice.
